Areas of expertise:

Briar practices in a number of area including employment, professional negligence, insurance, debt recovery and general litigation. Her passion is however employment law.

Briar has a keen interest in all areas of employment law including: disciplinary, termination and restructuring procedures; drafting employment agreements and policies; restraints of trade and their enforcement; privacy and discrimination issues; and workplace health and safety.

She has represented clients in negotiation/mediation, the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court.  

Briar also practices in the areas of professional negligence, insurance, debt recovery and general civil litigation.


Professional background:

Briar worked for a major New Zealand law firm practicing in employment law before heading to the UK, where she was an in-house legal advisor on employment and commercial contract law. Briar has been with Morgan Coakle since 2006.
